It was inspiring to sit in a room with the Artisans that will be involved in Craft Lab 2023. Last week Curator Amelia James presented us with the exciting possibilities for the event this year. Tara Poole of Creative City (City of Ballarat) shared with us some wild and wooly supplementary activities that are in the pipeline. I can’t say any more at this stage! I chatted with a few of the amazing Artisans and jotted down a few of my ideas for demonstrating sculptural basketry in my very own craft cubicle!
Craft Lab is to be held at the Mining Exchange in Ballarat over 2 weekend from May 20-28. Craft Lab is a curated event which celebrates the finest work in the region and is a core initiative of the award-winning Ballarat Heritage Festival. Pencil in the dates, as this is an event not to be missed!
