Another great workshop at the Newstead Arts Hub with old and new friends on Saturday August 24. Thanks to those who support my workshops, and those who send photos of their finished weaving from home! See Narissa and Tina’s birds below.
As well as teaching people of all ages and abilities how to weave I love gardening and providing habitat for birds has become increasingly important to me. This year I have white browed scrub wrens making a nest at my back door. They are using a piece of wire mesh that has plant fibre grown over it to hold their nest in place. If you are interested in learning more about birds subscribing to Geoff Parks blog Natural Newstead maybe for you. Receiving his emails documenting bird life in Newstead and beyond give me great pleasure. He is a great photographer and provides interesting information about birds using everyday language – https://geoffpark.wordpress.com/
