January is for harvesting lavender and weaving lavender wands! I used to help families make them at festivals at Lavandula in Hepburn pre-covid. Here I am in their lavender fields harvesting with a scythe in 2018!
I am posting in January 2025 to let all my weaving friends know I have cancer and therefore will not be facilitating basketry workshops and participating in other public weaving activity this year. Out of respect for my weaving friends I wanted to let you know. In order to respect my privacy I hope you can leave it at that and let me have time off from my small business to focus on my health. I hope to be back in 2026 offering workshops for those interested in participating. See you then!

Thanks Tina! Sorry it has taken me so long to respond. I am taking your advice to rest, restore and replenish. Most of my energy focused on health and healing. I haven’t done much weaving as yet. I don’t seem to have the mental space or physical energy for it. But I have a couple of project at arms length, I pick up once in a while.
