Last Thursday I spent an action packed morning with Year 9 and 10 textile students. After listening to a short an Artist Talk the students made a great effort to learn the basics of not one, but two, basketry techniques! In the picture below the students are holding samples of the coiled and twined basketry techniques they were introduced to over 2 hours.
