On Saturday I facilitated another Melon Basket workshop but this time at the Creswick Neighbourhood Centre. I had sourced and prepared a plethora of strappy leaves for the ladies to weave. The ribbed constructions were quickly ‘fleshed out’ with red hot poker, montbretia, chasmanthe, watsonia, Siberian iris, bearded iris and bullrushes. Such a range in colour and texture that created lovely unique stripes on the baskets.
