Yesterday was an incredible Spring day that I spent with a group of lovely people at the Creswick Neighbourhood Centre. We managed to build and decorate a fence out of wild willow that I collected along the waterways of Creswick and Daylesford over the last few weeks.
What beautiful osiers of willow I collected today at Lake Daylesford!! I will trim and organise them into different sizes over the next week. A trip to the historic cottage at Friends of Royal Botanic Gardens is always a treat as I get to wander through the gardens. There was a variety of twined baskets made on Saturday August 3 as someone bought a stunning ceramic platter to weave from and others silk sari’s to up-cycle.

Yesterday we basked in the warmth of a sunny winters day in the courtyard of the Surrey Hills Neighbourhood Centre during a friendly and informal random weave workshop. Live music drifted down the laneway from a local wine bar to keep us entertained and we quickly scurried inside at 3.15pm before the rain started.
