Last Saturday June 18, I spent the day with Friends at the Plant Craft Cottage in the Royal Botanical Gardens Melbourne. I showed 7 women how to make a coiled basket, which they took home to finish as this technique is time consuming and can’t be finished in one day. Lisa Stevens from the Friends of Royal Botanical Gardens was there to assist, and her attentive support made the day run smoothly and added another dimension to the cultural experience. Thanks to Lisa and other volunteers who do great work at the Plant Craft Cottage!
